Jesús Sepúlveda

Jesús Sepúlveda was born in Chile and became a writer in the late 80's during the decline of the military regime. He is the author of Lugar de origen (Chile, 1987), Reinos del príncipe caído (Chile, 1991), Hotel Marconi (Chile, 1998, and 2006, bilingual edition), Correo negro (Argentina, 2001), and Escrivania (Mexico, 2003). His essay, El jardín de las peculiaridades (Argentina, 2002), has been translated into English (The Garden of Peculiarities, Feral House, 2005) and French (Le Jardin des Singularités, Hic et Nunc, 2007). In the early 90's he directed the magazine Piel de Leopardo (currently on-line). He currently lives in Eugene, Oregon, where he coedited the bilingual journal Helicóptero, and he is a frequent contributor to Green Anarchy. His work has been translated into English, French, Portuguese and Finnish and has been published in a dozen countries.
