Robert Head born Jan 7, 1942 in Memphis Tennessee. He studied at Oberlin College and University College Dublin. His plays Sancticity and Kill Viet Cong were published in the Tulane Drarma Review. Sancticity was performed at the Edinburgh Festival, in Oberlin and at the Minneapolis Theater; Kill Viet Cong was performed in New Orleans and New York City by Richard Schechner's Performance Theater and by the Bread and Puppet Theater. From 1968 to 1974 he co-edited NOLA Express with Darlene Fife. Since 1978 he has owned and operated the Bookstore in Lewisburg, WV. A lifelong poet he has been widely published in the small press and self publishes chapbooks of his poetry. A recent chapbook The Resurrection of Osceola won first prize in poetry awarded by the WV Writers Inc. Other recent chapbooks are the Battle of Keren, Vultures Eat the Dead & Jets Eat the Living, and Theory of the Eddy.
